Meet The Staff

Dr. Aman Dhaliwal, Optometrist & Owner

aman-medBorn and raised in Hamilton Ontario, Dr. Dhaliwal has been practising for over 10 years with experience in Canada and the United States. Dr. Dhaliwal completed his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education at Brock University. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree at New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA.  Dr. Dhaliwal has worked in Boston, Rhode Island, Atlanta and Chicago before he entered private practice in Hamilton, Ontario.

He practices full scope optometry and has a special interest in fitting speciality contact lenses, as well as diagnoses and treatment of all disorders that affect the eye or vision.  Dr. Dhaliwal is trained to recognize a range of health issues such as, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension.  Dr. Dhaliwal works hard to ensure that his eye clinic provides leading eye care to families in Hamilton, Ontario.

In his spare time, Dr. Dhaliwal enjoys time with his wife and two young children. He is a sports enthusiast, loves watching football and plays on a local volleyball team.


Doris Birch

Doris is our office manager for our Limeridge location. She has been with our office for 11 years. Her caring and compassionate nature ensures our patients have a positive experience. Doris is a Hamilton local who loves spending time with her children and grandchildren.


Jennifer Carne

Jennifer is our office manager at Queenston Eye Care. She brings over 15 years experience in the optical field and strives to ensure each patient receives professional care and an enjoyable experience at our practice. Jennifer is a Hamilton local who enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, usually around a volleyball court or soccer field.


Julie Nagult

Julie is the newest member to the administration team. She brings with her many years of experience interacting with the public, administration experience, an Honours B.A. in English and minor in Chemistry. Julie enjoys meeting new people and looks forward to helping care for their ophthalmic needs. She enjoys spending time with her family and one day hopes to travel Canada from the East Coast to the West Coast.


Mimi Shen

Mimi is currently an undergraduate science student at McMaster University.  Since high school, her interest in optometry has been increasing year after year.  Nearing the end of her undergrad career, she started volunteering at both the Queenston and Limeridge locations and gaining valuable shadowing experience with Dr. Dhaliwal.  Seeing the exemplary patient care and education first-hand only grew her interests in vision care.  With the guidance of the wonderful team, she hopes to attend Optometry school and turn her passion for vision sciences into a career.


Rosemary Botelho

Rosemary started off as a co-op student from a local high school hoping to pursue a career as an optometrist in the future. After finishing her co-op placement at Queenston Eye Care, she gladly joined the team and is now helping as a part-time employee at both locations. Rosemary is a family oriented person and enjoys playing sports on her spare time.
